Coal as Source of Energy

Coal is an eminent source of energy, not only in the United States, but also worldwide. Coal as important source of energy will remain so for many years, particularly in many developing countries that are still depend on it. A third of the world’s coal reserves can be found within the United States. The energy content of the nation’s coal resources surpasses that of the entire world’s known recoverable oil. Fossil fuels like gas and oil currently remain the main energy source for the United States’ economy, but we can not dismiss coal’s importance for decades. Coal have advantages over it price stability and will remain an important source of electricity generation. The use of coal is the main source of hydrogen from hydrogen-energy economy and it is an important source of liquid fuel of energy.

The perspective of coal usage and coal utilization for energy industry will not be the same. The disadvantages are several concerns about the environmental impact of coal usage. But there are some efforts to replace current coal utilization by better methods for controlling emissions from burning coal. More investigations should also play an important role in creating a more efficient use of coal, particularly in non-traditional methods to meet the immediate combustion flaws.

The importance of coal for the U.S. economy, locally and around the world, is obvious. For example, a miner of coal gasification in North Dakota, we see the importance of energy, mining, power generation, production of methane. There were five pounds, seven power plants and coal gasification in a radius of 100 miles of Beulah, North Dakota. We have recognized the economic importance of coal for the major regions such as North Dakota, other states in the coal from the United States and the world.
